Today marks the first New Moon of the astrological new year. It’s a time to set intentions and goals which will manifest through the course of the lunation and through the year. This New Moon’s in Aries, closely conjunct retrograde Venus. This is a great time to look at areas of your life where you may not feel empowered or strong. Retrograde Venus gives us a chance to look inward and see where one’s inner beauty may not be shining through. Over the next twenty nine days, look at how you can champion one or more of these hidden talents and bring it into the light to inspire the rest of the world.  The Full Moon on April 9th may be a time of revelation.  Other significant times may be found on the 2 quarter moons, April 2nd and April 17th.  Work with the links below to come up with your personal Aries lunation strategy.

Dane Rudhyar on the Lunation Cycle

I’ve included some resources here on working with the lunation cycle. Michael Meyer has a great Introduction to Lunation Planning on Khaldea.com. And Dane Rudhyar, grand-pappy of modern psychological astrology, speaks below on his unique vision of the Lunation Cycle. This recording comes from the Rudhyar Institute for Transpersonal Activity (RITA), a phenomenal organization which is preserving Rudhyar’s written and spoken works.
