This winter, my awesome friend Jill was looking for some original art for her new office. We started talking and I remembered this idea I had for individual posters based on natal charts.  I started playing around with the idea and made a few Christmas gifts.  To your left, you’ll see Jill’s poster.

Each natal planet and angle is represented by the Sabian symbol collage for the specific degree.  The idea was to generate a grid of images that was completely unique to the individual’s birth chart.  Like a tarot spread, the eye’s drawn to different images or phrases.  Rather than reading the piece literally, the unconscious seizes on certain words or images depending upon the context in which one’s viewing the poster.  At least, that was the idea.  Anyway, I’m really pleased with how they turned out, and so is Jill.
